Tegernsee
I've been doing a bit of time travel recently, revisiting places through old photographs that I somehow didn't get around to sharing at the time. And on my most recent trip via my camera roll, I spent some time in Tegernsee. I remember it well - a beautiful Sunday afternoon, catching a train from Munich to this lovely Bavarian town. At just over an hour away, it's a great day trip from Munich. There are no shortage of fantastic day trips to be taken in Bavaria and Tegernsee is just one of them!
We visited twice, and these photos were from our first visit. We walked and basked in the warm sunshine by the water, enjoying a hearty Bavarian lunch (read: pork and potatoes) followed by some wonderful gelato. Our next visit was similar, but slightly more active - we went on a little hike (and of course, got some of that wonderful gelato again afterwards!). I hope to visit again someday and go on a boat trip on the water.
