Well, hello there! Long time no post, and I hope you’re all keeping well in these strange times. I’ve been MIA from blogging as I started an intensive Masters in September (I’ll fill you in on that soon!) but in the meantime, I thought I’d share some photos I took an embarrassingly long time ago in the summer in Munich, that I never got around to sharing. I was just playing with my camera, capturing some nondescript, everyday things; from fresh flowers and fruits at the market, to people (and dog) watching from cafés. Things that we ordinarily would never have given a second thought, but would be so welcome now…
Munich is such a photogenic city at all times of year; check out my other Photo Diaries from the city! Munich in Autumn, Autumn at Viktualienmarkt.

Beautiful photographs, Sarah. We are all learning to appreciate the things we took for granted before; people-watching, coffee shops, shopping for flowers & fruit…it’s so lovely to look at these. Thank you for posting them. As William says, regarding Covid-19, this too shall pass. We may all be better people then. Good luck on your Masters (not that you’ll need it)xo

Hi Pat, thank you so much for this lovely comment! Absolutely and I hope so too about us becoming better people… I think (or hope?) there’s going to be a shift in society about what’s truly important, as well as a greater and lifelong appreciation for the everyday things we once took for granted. Love to you and William :) xoxo

So nice to see you in my reader again!! I love these gorgeous shots, and you’re so right, now more than ever, I’ve been looking back on all my photos & videos from great trips gone by. Hope your Masters work has been going well! I’m going to be starting mine in about a year, and I’m very excited. Oh, I particularly adore that 4th from last shot–I’m not exactly sure what those cannisters/containers/decorations are called, but I inherited a similar one that my uncle bought in London when he was stationed or on military tour. He bought it for my mother or grandma, and I got it a few years ago, and it’s one of my most prized possessions! xx

Aw thank you so much Macey! :) what is your Masters going to be in? I’m excited for you! That’s a lovely story about the canister you inherited (..is it a beer stein? I’m not sure of the name either!), those special sentimental pieces are so wonderful to have and treasure <3 xx

I’ll be pursuing my Masters in English Literature! I’m currently on track to receive my Bachelor’s in History, but as a former English major, I rediscovered my love for the subject this past year, so I’ve decided to get my Masters in it. I think beer stein might be the proper name for the canister :’)
