The Lip Products I've Been Using on Rotation This Month
First up - prep! Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub is terrific (and not just because I like to eat it. Ahem). It does a bang-up job of sorting out chapped lips, preparing them for moisturising and ensuring my lipstick glides on smoothly. Next up for lip-care I want to lock in some moisture; I've been loving using the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E and Peppermint. It's my first Burt's Bees product and I'm very impressed. It glides on smoothly and the added peppermint brings a nice tingling sensation - I love to feel a product working. As for lipsticks, I have been switching between these three Charlotte Tilbury shades...
Walk of Shame is my latest addition, a berry-rosey hue from the Matte Revolution range. I'm a huge fan of the formula in this range. Normally I associate matte with dryness, but this is creamy in texture and glides on like velvet. The colour of the bullet looks quite intense, but it's buildable - I keep it quite light for the day, but dial it up for the evening for a bolder look.
Pillow Talk, another from the Matte Revolution range, needs no introduction. The beautiful shade and creamy texture have made it an instant classic. This was a gift from my mum and it's a shade I always reach for when I want a soft, natural look. I'm a bit disappointed though, as after such a short time, the bullet has become a little loose in its case. I don't have a heavy hand so I don't know why this would have happened, but for this reason I now apply Pillow Talk with a lip brush, in case the bullet breaks off, which isn't ideal when I'm on the move. Has this happened to anyone else...?
Last up, and clearly no means least, Stoned Rose. You can see how well loved this one is, and I've already raved about it in a previous post. Stoned Rose is from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range, so it delivers a healthy sheen rather than being matte like the previous two lippies, which is a nice change. It's a warm, coral-rose shade, which suits my pale complexion so well. I have the Golden Goddess kit which I wear a lot, and this lipstick is the one paired with this look - so it goes perfectly.
