Long time no see! Although we're well into Autumn territory (yay!), I wanted to share some photos from our trip to Amsterdam in July. I'd been itching to visit Amsterdam for a while and this trip was my first time (and certainly won't be my last!).
There are certain things that come to mind when you think of Amsterdam, but there's so much more to this city than the coffeeshops and Red Light District. It's unlike anywhere I've ever been before, yet it has that strange quality of feeling very familiar somehow, and it was exactly as I'd imagined it would be. Vibrant and quaint, Amsterdam has a unique atmosphere and character.
We spent much of our time just exploring on foot, along the canals and its adjacent cobbled streets, framed by the iconic houses. This is my favourite way to explore a new city. Unless there's something in particular we simply must see or do, Jamie and I don't like to get too bogged down with to-do lists when we travel. But we enjoyed a boat tour on the canals and visited the Banksy exhibition at the Moco Museum. We sat outside in the evening sun and enjoyed a spot of people-watching with an Aperol Spritz (or two, or three... ahem). Oh, and ate our body weight in Tony's Chocolonely (trust me, you need to try it).
Tot de volgende keer, Amsterdam!

Amsterdam looks lovely! I’ve always wanted to visit it but never got around doing so. Maybe next year! By the way, I love all of your photos. xx

Literally every single one of these photos is absolutely gorgeous! Did you edit them at all? They don’t look it honestly, and if you did, you enhanced the essence of Amsterdam’s beauty so so well. Amsterdam has been on my list of places to go for years now, and I can’t wait til I can realise this dream and go there one day!

Thank you so much Macey! They haven’t been edited too much, just a few adjustments made in the standard Apple Photos editor! I’m sure you’ll love Amsterdam – you’ll have to start planning a trip! ;) x
