I know, Halloween is over for another year and I’m a little late in this post! I’ve been busying working on my coursework but I wanted to share with you bits and pieces from my Halloween.
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved Halloween. Being from the countryside meant no feasible trick-or-treating, but I always enjoyed the holiday, the associated paraphernalia, the dressing up; I just think it’s a great time of year. I remember every year around this time going to the woods with my dad – wellie boots on, big coats, bags at the ready – to pick hazelnuts. We used to cycle there, it’s a few miles away from our home, and we would have come home with bags and bags full! There don’t seem to be as many in recent years, whether someone else has discovered our place and gets there before us, or there just aren’t as many.
This year was a fairly quiet Halloween – I’m not big into going out-out. Jamie and I carved pumpkins with his niece Taylor.
