Easy on the Eye
My love of Charlotte Tilbury is no secret - and as I'm the lucky owner of a steadily growing collection, I thought I'd share some of my favourite Charlotte Tilbury products. First up, the eyes.
I've recently waxed lyrical about the Legendary Lashes Volume 2* (read my review here), but it deserves another mention. It's like Twiggy in a tube; creating serious volume and length in the richest black, it gives me a flutter I now couldn't be without!
Alongside my go-to Golden Goddess palette, I adore the Instant Eye palette (which I've also featured on the blog here). Jamie bought me this for my birthday in December and it's such a beautiful kit. With four different looks in one palette, it caters for every occasion and is perfect for when I'm travelling. I ought to use it more - and will - but I think part of me holds back as I don't want it to run out!
I got the Naughty and Nice Magic Box around Christmas last year, and one of the products included was the Eyes to Mesmerise in Jean. Inspired by iconic Jeans - think Norma Jean and Jean Shrimpton - it's a gorgeous product in both colour and texture. A champagne-pink shade in a soft creme formula, it packs a (shimmery) punch while also being incredibly easy to apply - minimal effort for maximum impact! A little goes a long way, too. I like to apply a light wash of colour over the lid, and lightly line along my lash line with The Classic Powder Pencil in Sophia for a soft look, or Rock 'n' Kohl Barbarella Brown for something a little stronger. A quick and easy look I am turning to a lot these days.
I'm quite lucky with my eyebrows - they're a decent shape on their own (and thank goodness, because I'd be too wussy to pluck or wax them!) but I like to fill them in for a bit more definition. It's only in recent years I've learned how important the eyebrows are - they really do frame the face. Legendary Brows is fantastic - I use 'Linda', a dark blonde shade which is an ideal match for my colouring, and the tiny brush is perfect for coating each hair.
The Colour Chameleon in Amber Haze* is my first eyeshadow pencil and I'm very impressed. This product is all about the ease of use - simply scribble on and blend! Although I have to admit, it took me a couple of uses to get the hang of applying it, but just because it dries so quickly. Once it sets, it really doesn't budge! I really love the colouring of Amber Haze - it's a rich amber-bronze shade, infused with synthetic sapphires for a soft focus, mesmerising eye.
The Rock 'n' Kohl Liner in Barbarella Brown* has earned cult status, and deservedly so. I find the deep chocolatey shade a wonderful alternative to black, and really suits my pale skin tone. With its creamy texture it glides effortlessly along the lash line, and is super pigmented. I like to use along with my eyeshadow to create a smokier eye, or a softer version of the feline flick. And last (but by no means least) is The Classic Powder Pencil in Sophia. It's a softer, more subtle pencil than the Rock 'n' Kohl, but really makes a different when on the eyes.
