The ‘Jean’ Jumper
As much as I love dipping my toe into (some) mainstream trends, I’ve always liked to wear clothes that were a little different, and unique to me. And this is exactly what this knitted jumper is, as it was handmade for me by my very talented Aunt Jean. It’s truly bespoke!
We were in Glasgow for a couple of days last year and when browsing patterns, Jean said she’d like to knit something for me. We found the pattern in a John Lewis and come Christmas, it was finished. I’ve hardly taken it off since!
The soft colour way brings a much-needed splash of colour in the grey Winter. It also makes it a great transition piece as we’re (very slowly) edging towards Spring, and it’s been keeping me toasty in Munich’s chilly climes. It’s made me want to pick up a pair of needles, some yarn and learn how to make my own clothes!
Do you have any handmade jumpers? Can you knit or make your own things? x

I had many knitted jumpers and skirts made by my grandma when I was a little girl, and now my mother atarted crochet knitting for my 1.5 years old daughter. Your sweater is beautiful and I’d love to copy it (if I only knew how to knit…)

Aw Shani, I think it would be lovely to be able to knit/crochet and for your daughter to have unique little pieces :) there’s something very special about it!
