Hip Hip Hurray!
I haven’t been blogging nearly enough as I’d like to be. In fact, it’s been quite a while! Working full time means I come home in the evening and don’t fancy sitting in front of another computer – the weekend is the only proper opportunity for photographs and such, and although I have the best of intentions to do so, it doesn’t always come to be. I’m sure I’m not alone on this one?! This is something I want to change though! Especially as there’s lots I want to blog about… like my recent prize from WishWishWish!
I was having my usual Sunday morning soak in the bath when I spotted a few Twitter notifications on my phone. I had to do a double take – there was no way I had just been selected as one of the winners in Carrie’s #wishwishwishissix giveaway! I was absolutely delighted and couldn’t wait for the postman to come. But for me, a big part of the excitement was not just the (incredible) gifts, but the person they’re coming from. They have immediate sentimental value to me.
Although my little blog hasn’t been on the go for very long, Carrie has been hugely influential for me in that regard. I’ve been an avid reader of WishWishWish from 2009; I’m both inspired and in awe of the girl and the blog, and their story. When you follow a blogger for that length of time, you feel, in a way, like you know them on some level – this makes the whole experience that bit more exciting and special.
So… the gifts! They really are something else. I’m a lucky girl having received the travel prize, which included some seriously lavish pieces – leather delights from the wonderful Aspinal of London in the most beautiful turquoise shade, a super chic linen box of LUXE City Guides and a pair of Mango sunnies as seen on Carrie in Barcelona. I cannot wait to put them all to use! : )
I now have a case of full-blown wanderlust, which needs seeing to as soon as possible… If you’ll excuse me, I’m off to do a bit of holiday planning…! Where to first?! x

How exciting! Congratulations on winning the prize! I definitely need to get my hands on one of those little travel things- it’s too pretty! I know what you mean about feeling like you know someone after having read their blog for so long. It’s amazing to be able to connect with people from all over. :)
