I am a long-time-lover of L’Occitane. And who wouldn’t be? When I think of L’Occitane (and when I smell their products!), I have whimsical visions of Provence; fields lined with glorious lavender, wicker baskets piled high with refreshing verbena and the wonderful scents filling the air. This, along with seriously sumptuous creams and soaps (and ethically sound practices too), makes for one bloomin’ fantastic brand that I both admire and adore in equal measure.
I have to exercise a little self-control when I visit the local boutique, but I could not resist this little set – low on price but big on quality and value (£31 worth for £20) and all in a lovely little bag. A wonderful gift to me, from me!
So… Meet Verbena. Widely regarded as the finest of all the citrus scents, it is iconic to Provence and makes for some truly divine products. Refreshing, and striking a unique balance of energising and relaxing, verbena is the very essence of indulgence.
The bag contains a bath & shower gel, a bar of extra gentle soap, body lotion, a little bottle of EDT and a refreshing cloth. Everything is so nice, they’re almost too good to use… almost ; ) infused with natural goodies like shea butter and essential oils, the products are oh so dreamy. I’m particularly impressed by the bar of soap; I’m not generally a fan of soaps, as I find them drying and leaving my skin feeling tight, but not this one – when it says it’s extra gentle it means it. It creates the perfect amount of lather, and leaves skin supple and squeaky clean with a light, soft scent of verbena. I’ll definitely be buying another bar.
