Good Day Sunshine
Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed plenty of chocolatey treats! : )
Jamie and I spent Easter Sunday/Easter Monday in Dublin, staying at the Gresham Hotel. We had a wonderful time and really just relaxed – it’s so nice to get away even for a day. I’d had a long week, with my dad going into hospital for an operation, so it was nice to unwind a little (even if he and mum had to insist that we go!). All we did was eat, drink tea and chat for hours – and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Oh, and it was our three-year anniversary! : )
The weather on Easter Sunday at home was nothing short of glorious, so my ensemble – which I planned to share on here – was totally weather appropriate… so imagine my astonishment at a mere two hours’ drive, that Dublin was drenched in rain! Who’da thunk it?! I stood out like a sore thumb, weaving through the crowds of raincoats, umbrellas and boots in my short-shorts and kitty flats, earning me more than a few strange looks. So I shall share that outfit with you another time…!
Thankfully, as you can see, Easter Monday’s weather was much kinder! St Stephen’s Green is a haven away from the city – lined with gorgeous blooms offering a splash of colour, the sound of bird song and gentle fountains, people feeding the ducks and swans in the lake – a far cry from the city, you wouldn’t think you were in the heart of Dublin. On a sunny day like this, it’s an ideal spot to wile away an afternoon. x
